Mindfulness practice trains our mind to see past limiting beliefs, allowing our heart to open and wisdom to grow. Each training program begins with establishing the preliminary foundations for practice. In the Tibetan Lojong system of meditation, the first preliminary is to meditate on the rarity and preciousness of life. In this meditation, we contemplate our living experience from a broad perspective, where the mystifying advent of humanity, and this very life you know, is humbling.
