Vinyasa is a Sanskrit term translated to mean “to place in a special way.” In yoga, knowing where to play your hands and feet in a special way will bring more ease to the body and flow to your practice. Come and learn specific alignment strategies and movements that will help you to transition safely and effectively.
In this workshop, you will learn:
– Alignment principles and techniques to deepen poses found in the Sun Salutation sequences
(Forward Fold, Plank, Cobra/Upward Facing Dog, Downward Facing Dog, Lunges, Warrior 1, etc)
– How to hop forward and backward safely
– Linking of the breath and movement
– How to modify poses and correct common misalignment
– Movement strategies to transition fluidly between poses
