In this flow practice, we will stimulate the fire that helps us work with the ingredients of our lives, and move through challenges with greater ease. Balance in life can be found by meeting with the challenges and gifts we’re presented with. A dynamic equilibrium between what we are faced with, and what we can meaningfully work with, continually influences our approach to what we feel, think and do.
In yoga, we work towards equilibrium by balancing an energetic current called samana vayu. It is expressed through physical actions like digestion and metabolism, and stimulated by twist, breathing exercises, and working with the core. On a psychological level, it presents an even-mind, able to discriminate between what is helpful, and what is not; laying the grounds for wise action.
